A reflection on the exhibition “We Show What We (Don’t) Know – Images as Research” within the framework of the Transcultural Academy “Futures/Futurities” at the Japanische Palais of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden 2023.

The issue complements, accompanies and deepens the artistic research project “Terms and Conditions. The Legal Form of Images” of HaFI, which was launched in spring 2024. It inquires the legal and paralegal frameworks which increasingly inform the contemporary art and visual culture.

This edition of Rosa Mercedes provides observations and commentaries on the visual politics and related issues of the 2020-2021 “corona crisis.” While discontinued in June 2021, it may be reactivated any time. Watch out!
