Out now: Harun Farocki, Eine indexikalische Spur [An indexical trace], Schriften/Writings, vol. 7

Inspired by Farocki‘s fascination with dictionaries and image collections and their classification and addressing functions, the index compiled by Gerti Fietzek is an indispensable tool for exploring his textual output. In addition, the volume makes available a further 39 texts by Farocki that were not included in the previous volumes of the edition of his writings—in addition to short texts on his own films and seminar announcements, these are primarily film reviews from 1980 and 1981. The volume also contains a complete bibliography of Farocki’s texts, photographs by Armin Linke, and an afterword by ist editor Volker Pantenburg.
